Microsoft is acting upon yet another coercive and pushy strategy in order to sell its new 40% smaller Xbox One S. These weird tactics include most of Microsoft's usual suspects: conflicting statements, misinformation, a stuttered release schedule that ensures you buy the most expensive variant first, and going back on its promises.
After all that press and bluster, they haven't even told us when the highly touted $299 model is releasing, promising that it'll release in August and they'll have "more to share later on

Microsoft has alluded to a “Holiday” 2017 release for the Scorpio console while a new report from a French consumer electronics distributor on the Sony PlayStation Neo suggests a late 2016 release in October.
According to the report, Sony will release the PS 4 Neo before the end of the year in October, allowing the new console’s release to coincide with Sony’s release of their PlayStation VR platform, which will obviously be compatible with the Neo and the current Play Station 4.
