Første sæson af HBO’s hitserie Game of Thrones udgives i 4K-opløsning og Dolby Vision på UHD Blu-ray i juni. Skiven vil også have lyd i Dolby Atmos.
Winter is coming
HBO’s Game of Thrones kræver næppe den store introduktion. Tv-serien er baseret på George R. R. Martins bøger og har siden første sæson blev frigivet i 2011 tryllebundet seere verden over.
Dette er dog første gang, at du kan nyde serien i den højeste mulige kvalitet. Udgivelsen byder på hele første sæson. De kommende sæsoner er endnu ikke bekræftet i den højere kvalitet.
Game of Thrones er optaget digitalt primært på Arri Alexa og senere Red Epic Dragon. Det første kamera skyder i 2.8K-opløsning, mens det andet optager i op til 6K-opløsning. Selskabet bekræfter, at udgivelsen “inkluderer alle 10 episoder restaureret i 4K-format for at give fans den ultimate skarphed og detaljegrad på HDR-skærme”. Dette dækker også over Dolby Vision HDR og Dolby Atmos.
Dette er ikke HBO’s første udgivelse på skiveformatet. HBO og Warner Bros samarbejdede om at udgive Westworld sæson 1 på UHD Blu-ray i november 2017. Game of Thrones-skiven udgives også globalt i samarbejde med Warner Bros
Første sæson af Game of Thrones udgives på UHD Blu-ray den 5. juni 2018 i USA (dansk dato er endnu ikke bekræftet) og vil indeholde over 600 minutters underholdning fordelt på 10 episoder plus ekstramateriale. Den ottende og sidste sæson sendes næste år.
